Setting up system users

Information: System users are machines that connect to the SEEBURGERCustomer Portal via an application programming interface (API). In this way, apps can communicate with each other, allowing authorizations to be checked. In order for an app to authenticate itself, it needs a system user. System users are represented by an email address and they are assigned access rights.

To set up a system user, follow these steps:

  1. Open the app Administration.

  2. Open the menu item User Management > API Access > New.

  3. Click New.

  4. In the field Username, enter an email address as username.

  5. Fill in the field Password.

  6. In the field Confirm Password, confirm the password.

  7. Click Save.

  8. In the tab API Services assign an API Service to the system user.

  9. Click Save.

  10. In the tab Organization Units, assign an Organization Unit to the system user.

  11. Click Save.

    Information: In the tab Login Credentials, you can change your login credentials if needed.
