Creating a communication masterdata record (File Client)

    To create a communication masterdata record for a file client, proceed as follows:

  • Create a new connection for the File Client.

  • Configure the client address for the File Client.

Note: The naming of the connection and of the client address has to begin with prefix int: The rest of each name can be chosen freely.Example: int:FileClient or int:FileClient_Partner_INT

Creating a new connection for the File Client

To create a new connection for the File Client, follow these steps:

  1. Open the app Masterdata Navigator.

  2. Click Communication > File Client > Connections.

  3. Create a new file client connection.

  4. Check the text fields, if the following parameters are set:

    • Category: Communication
    • Group: File Client
    • Type: Connection
  5. Click OK.

  6. On tab Settings, define the necessary data:

    • Name: must begin with int:
    • Transport Protocol: can be left unchanged
    • Root Path: path to local file folder - for example ${bisas.data}/hotfolder
  7. Click Save.

Information: Later on, the file client connection is referred by the scheduler task. The Connection name is used as referer.

Configuring the client address for the File Client

To create a File Client address, follow these steps:

  1. Open the app Masterdata Navigator.

  2. Open Communication > File Client > Addresses.

  3. Click New.

  4. Check the text fields, if the following parameters are set:

    • Category: Communication
    • Group: File Client
    • Type: Address
  5. Click OK.

  6. On tab Settings, define the necessary data:

    • Name: must begin with int:
    • Relative Path: partner_int - subfolder of the directory configured in the File Client connection
  7. Click Save.

Information: Later on, the file client address is referred by the scheduler task. The Address name is used as referer.
